Ah, I love those chemicals...

I feel so much better today. Work had nothing to do with it as it was, well ,work and by definition it's not a place you do happy things in - unless it's pay day. It was chemicals. What you ask? Am I on drugs? No, reality is way too like a trip for me some times man. No, it’s all to do with intense red streaks applied to my hair. They always make me feel good – not just because I like the way they look but I’m sure the chemicals are good for me. No really. Over the last 2 months due to various life things going on I did not get to go to the hairdresser. I missed my intense red chemicals. I missed the unnatural red look. I feel able to kick arse…okay, I always able to do that but, it’s like Popeye without spinach, some things are just meant to be.

I also got my hair straightened. I was asked to be a model for the apprentice. I don’t mind doing this and they always ask me. I believe everyone needs to learn and if we cannot sit for another 30 minutes to give someone a chance to practice then I reckon we’re pretty lousy people. Okay, and yes, I get a nice discount.

See how altruistic I am to the apprentice but also my bank balance? So I now have glossy, straight, red streaked hair. My hair is generally straight. I say ‘generally’ because it’s usually straight in the front, depending on care factor when I get up and it’s wavy at the back. I know – I’m a freak. Hairdressers always say, “You know if you cut your hair short it would go curly.” It doesn’t. It remains straight in the front and wavy at the back. I am an original. Like many people, who probably won’t admit to it, I did have a perm years and years ago. It was during the whole Grease thing when Sandy became the ‘bad girl’. Who knew you did not have to have curly hair to be bad naturally?

Speaking of curly hair, many years ago when I was traveling the world, I ended up in the US. We had a great time. Aussies generally do when they travel as we are flexible by nature and if the drinks are free we like it. Anyway, a bunch of us were in Pismo Beach – great place

by the way - and we were very tired and emotional – translationhung over – and we decided due to our respective feral states we would have a hair cut. I fell asleep in the chair due to being tired and emotional and I woke up to find this weird curl thing at the front of my head. The lady, very nice, thought it looked good. It probably did on a kewpie doll. I ain’t no kewpie doll. I think sometimes it’s just better to look feral.

The winner of the random Amarinda competition. Thank you to all who entered. On suck up (that’s a good thing in Aussie speak) factor alone Karen has won the free download of one current release. Karen’s answer – encompassed Bundy rum – a Queensland drink and she invoked the magical biscuit name - it was -
Stress? I don't see any stress! Do you see any stress? However, if I did experience any stress, I think I would like to try Bundaberg Rum Dry & Lime. That sounds so good. I recently read about this Australian rum while I was researching various alcoholic beverages from around the world. Will have to investigate to see if I can have that stuff shipped to my state in the US.

But, a good substitute for a tall, cool Rum Dry & Lime would be a box of Tim Tams. Again, I've never had those but they sound so-o-o good and would be an excellent stress reliever, IMO

Thanks to everyone who attended the chat. Writers always like feedback – good, bad or indifferent.
