Get thee gone song!

Quote for the day -
Lead me not into temptation; I can find the way myself --Rita Mae Brown

The Goddess and The Ghost – aka – the man with the freaky blond hair book - click on the cover to buy and support my Tim Tam addiction

Amarinda Jones is on her way to the top in this reviewer’s opinion! I have read many ghost romances, and few of them live up to the hype, but this one definitely does. Ms. Jones pleasantly surprised me with a book that makes you think that the premise just might be possible. Beautiful lovemaking scenes throughout, and the love-at-first-sight premise kept me quickly turning the pages. Zipporah with her “take charge” attitude is a delight. I adored Rian because he was so caring and loving towards Zipporah even when she was having her “moments” and was cranky. If you are seeking a fun, exhilarating read with plenty of hot sex and mystery, then you do not want to miss this keeper!

The non art of writing romance…

There are some days I just cannot write sex. I get home from work and think do I write sex or do I slump on the lounge in a heap? There are other times that I write around the sex. I write ‘put sex here’ or “he will do X, Y and Z to her – heavy on Z.” Strangely enough I can write sex really well early in the morning or if I have a bowl of popcorn nearby. No, I don’t think popcorn is an aphrodisiac but for some reason it inspires me. And no, I never indicated at any time that I was normal. I also utilize my pissed off or hormonal times to kill or hunt down the villain of the book as they will die painfully for annoying the lovers. However it is also one of those times I have to be very careful I don’t maim the hero just because he is a man and he should for god sake leave the heroine alone to make up her own mind. See how angst filled writing is?

Changing the subject because I can…Christmas in Australia is hot. Yes, that’s a no- brainer. However, I am sitting here hot and sweaty with the fan on and I have a bloody Christmas song –"the weather outside is frightful…let it snow...ydah, ydah, ydah – going round in my mind. Okay, ydah, ydah, ydah is not part of that song in case you are wondering. Anyway I heard it on the radio on the way home from work and now I cannot stop singing it. I am not a Christmas person. I know, you’re probably saying ‘get the hell out’ but I’m not. It’s not a Scrooge thing. It just doesn’t move me. Only my feet do. I don’t put up a tree and the pile of cards I get sits in a pile. Yes, I am a pathetic Christmas person. Anyway, as I sit here humming that inane cold weather song, I have Christmas beetles slamming into the screen door. These beetles aren’t very smart. They just don’t get that no matter how many times they hurl themselves against a solid object they’re not going to go through it. But they are persistent little buggers, I have to give them that. And no matter how many times I tell them they are going to give themselves brain damage they don’t listen. Beetles what can you do with ‘em?

Five fast ones with author Dakota Rebel….

What star sign are you? Name one fabulous characteristic of this sign. - Taurus. We love to shop for…well anything. Taurus loves to hoard material objects for no particular need or reason.

1. Aliens surround your house during your favourite TV show. You are in grave danger. Do you turn up the sound? Grab your laptop and start taking notes for your next book? Or do you turn off the lights and pretend you’re not at home? Or none of the above?

- Like outer space aliens, or people from another country aliens? Do they have food? Is it salty or chocolate? Am I really in grave danger, or can I sic them on the other people in the house? Do they like Buffy the Vampire Slayer?

3. My favourite food is….because….

Cheese Quesadillas from Taco Bell. Because, (and I am not positive about this but I am at least relatively sure), they put crack in the sauce.

4. If I was in charge of the world I would….

Order Daniel Radcliffe to do very naughty things for my viewing pleasure. Then I would work on nice stuff like peace and healing and blah, blah, blah. But first, Ooh Danny!!!

5. Name your special talent.

I can embarrass ANYONE who is brave enough to go out in public with me. No really. I will act like a complete ass if I think I can get someone else to feel uncomfortable with the situation. This is great fun for me.

Sweet Dreams - available February 4, 2008 from Total E Bound Publishing - until then go an annoy Dakota on her blog - http://vampsmut.blogspot.com/

Veronica Duff is a vampire hunter with the U.S. Army and has hated vampires since a rogue pack of them killed her mother 14 years ago. Now she’s having erotic dreams about a sexy vampire who claims to be in love with her.

Now she must figure out how to get rid of both vampires, the one that craves her love, and the one that wants her dead, before she loses her heart…or her life.

The man with the freaky blond hair book....

I walked out of work today. Why? I am too angry to discuss it without swearing profusely - I was that angry that I was shaking as I drove home. I’ll discuss it eventually. I looked at little like the angry woman in this picture - though my hair is shoulder length and I am not as green - and I don't ever wear spots. I like to to look at clothing and think 'Would Betty Boop wear this?' Hey! Don't knock Betty. She is an icon that has been around for years. Her longevity is amazing. Anyway back to the work stuff. I'm not back at work until Wednesday as they annoyed me and my Doctor (female) and I both agree these boys need to learn a lesson and I'm the girl to do it.

On to happier things…the book with the man with the freaky blond hair is released today. No, that’s not the title but that’s my pet name for the book. It’s actually called The Goddess and The Ghost. It’s book 2 in The Goddess Grind series. What’s it about? A woman comes across a ghost that only she can see. Is this a good thing you ask? Depends who the ghost is and what his story is – and is he really dead or trapped between worlds? Hmm…who knows? Well I do but you would have to read it to find out more – or win a copy by telling me how long it takes to get from here to there.” Yes it’s a silly question. So write me a silly answer in the comments (with name and contact details) and I’ll chuck names into a hat and that first name out – assuming someone answers - will win your own copy of the book with the man with the freaky blond hair. How can you pass that up?

The man with the freaky blond hair - okay The Goddess and The Ghost - blurb - available at Total-E-Bound - it's another click on the cover moment to buy...

Zipporah Scott is due to spend the weekend camping with her niece. Zipporah hates camping. The only thing that could make it worse is the gorgeous guy who following her and telling her he’s a ghost and only she can help him. Uh huh.

Rian Carmichael is a man that is trapped between worlds. Only Zipporah can see him. Rian knows two things for sure. He needs her help to live again and Zipporah Scott is the woman for him. He knew it at a glance.

Despite the craziness of their situation, Zipporah wants to believe that she can have a future with Rian. The touch and taste of him is real enough but can he break through the barrier between worlds and be with her forever or are they doomed to be parted?

The first book in the series - The Goddess Within does not have a freaky blond guy - but despite that it has done well. Fallen Angel Reviews kindly gave a recommended read. It's the book that had the inspirational opening line...

Mardi Keller screamed as the orgasm drove her face forward onto the floor.

The blurb...with clickable cover...

Mardi Keller cannot believe her ears when she hears an unknown man talking about how he wants her over a two-way radio. Her friends drag her to meet him and she discovers the man she has been lusting over from afar is one and the same. But can lust be love?

It only took once glance at Mardi for Stryker Reed to know she was the woman for him. He has no intention of letting the woman of his dreams get away. All he has to do now is convince her that love at first sight does exist and that he can love her like no other.

And just when you are thinking can Amarinda flog one more book tonight without offering sneak knives? Yes, I can - and no, there are no steak knives. I do have this weird melon baller thing in the kitchen drawer that I cannot seem to throw out. You never do know when you'll come across a melon with balls do you? Anyway Lust in Time - eyes right - got 5 Angels from the good folks at Fallen Angels.
The blurb - sans steak knives...cover comes with url when clicked.
When Arabella Smith from 2008 wakes up on the floor of a strange house in 1888 She is gob smacked. Is it a dream or is the book in her hands the reason why she is there? The book is from 1888. She soon meets the original owner and Arabella begins to believe it is her mission to help Amy Louisa and then get back to the mod cons of 2008 as soon as possible.

However Garrett Robillard has other plans for Arabella. He knows why she is in 1888 and it has everything to do with him. Arabella is the mystery lover he has been dreaming about for the last three weeks. She is the woman for him. Garrett just needs to convince her of that.

Arabella’s plan was not to fall in love and have hot sex with Garrett especially as she knows time is fickle and she can be thrown her back into the future without warning. But what can a girl do when she is faced with the man of her dreams and the past is really her future?

Last thing to flog tonight is a competition where you win stuff...
What do - Kelly Kirch, Sandra Cox, KZ Snow, Barbara Huffert, Anny Cook, Heather Hiestand, JacquĆ©line Roth, Cindy Spencer Pape, Bronwyn Green, Brynn Paulin, Lacey Thorn and me – the Jones girl - Amarinda - all have in common other then being exceptional writers? Answer -

Beautiful Friday...

Friday…how I love thee…let me count the ways
- hope springs eternal on a Friday. Everything seems possible at the end of a working week
- You weight less. How’s that? The weight of the working week has lifted from your shoulders. Medically speaking everyday should be Friday as we would have no health concerns about weight.
- The numbness that I live on during the week disappears and I can begin to feel again.
- I can appreciate men as human beings and not automated wind up toys that run on testosterone and immaturity
- I cease being a total bitch and become just a partial bitch. It’s genetically impossible for me to give it up completely

Dumb things I did today

- I bought a pair of sunglasses. I tried them on again when I got home and I realized they make me look like bug woman. Forehead slap. Those suckers are going back.
- Forgot to check with best mate Ethel what lie I was telling on her behalf and nearly slipped up when someone rang me up for a reference check. Thankfully I can lie my arse off (God, if only that was possible.) On a positive job Ethel got the job.

Smart things I did today

- I saw the world’s most boring ex-work acquaintance at the local garden centre on the way home from work. I managed to dash into another aisle to escape. This is a woman you have to gnaw your own leg off to be free of her.
- ‘Saw the most beautiful mahogany dining room chairs – hugely expensive - and walked away without pulling out the credit card to buy. I still want them but I am smart enough to know in the end a chair is a chair.

Good things I did today
- N/A

Bad things I did today

- where to start without looking like a trouble making shrew? Hmmm…not possible

On www.kkirch.blogspot.com Kelly left us with….

"Well, what did you think I meant when I said, "I'm Your Destiny"?"

"Some bit of karma crap. Oh!" Sudden insight dawned on her. She laughed, making no effort to disguise her glee. "That's your name? Your Destiny? Wow, your mom really hated you."

"Middle school was hell."

"I can imagine."

Your Destiny leveled her with a steely stare, not muted through the reflective glass of the rearview mirror. "Now, Matilda. The vow."

Hmm…I am going with…

There was no way in hell Matilda was going to tell this Red Destiny nerd the truth about her vow. There was only one person she could tell and the thought of doing that scared her down to her toenails. No one must ever know. Sometimes the truth did not set you free.

"My vow is to eat Tims Tams only on every alternate day." Like she would stick to that.

"Liar"

"Dipstick."

"That hurt my feelings."

"Get over it. I do not have time for this crap.” Matilda told him. "Besides super heroes do not whine about feelings."

"You're nasty."

"Tell me about it." Matilda needed to get rid of him. Whining men gave her the irrits. "Get out of the car."

"But I am supposed to stay with you until your vow is revealed."

"Sunshine, I am not revealing anything to you." She reached into her glovebox and pulled out at a long silver wand. As a white witch she could only use it in extreme emergencies. Boredom by nerd was close enough. She turned around and gave him her best pissed off hormonal look. "Get out or I turn you into a frog."

His eyes opened wide with fright as he stared past her. "Ah, you have another problem bigger than me."

"What?" The fear in his eyes was too real to be faked. Matilda felt the hair rise on the back of her neck. Only one person gave her that feeling. It couldn't be him surely? Valerio was still in jail. Wasn't he? Matilda turned and saw the face she knew only too well. Holy crap! She knew her vow was no longer safe.

Who is Valerio and just what does he mean to Matilda the white witch? Maybe, possibly, perhaps Anny will answer this tomorrow on
www.annycook.blogspot.com

The book with the guy with the freaky blond hair is released Monday I believe at Total-E-Bound. Wanna’ know why he has freaky blond hair? Well, you going to have to read the book.

The Goddess and The Ghost

Exceprta modern woman out of her natural element…

“I have not got a bloody clue what any of these are,” Zipporah murmured as she looked at the pile of leaves she and Evie had collected. She studied the Identifying Australian Flora handout sheet she had been given. All the campers had been assigned the task of classifying the local flora—for what reason Zipporah did not know. As far as she was concerned leaves were either brown or green, big or small and really what was the point of the exercise? Other than to confuse a woman who had declined baked beans on toast for lunch? Though Zipporah grudgingly had to admit wandering through the beauty of the Australian bush was worthwhile. The tall gum trees, spindly wildflowers and the clean, fresh smell was like nothing else on earth. The only thing that ruined it was the camp organiser from hell, Gwen, and the bloody whistle she liked to use to rally the troops.

“I really wish she would shove that up her arse,” Zipporah muttered in irritation as once again the demented Gwen blew out some sort of demonic tune designed to either catch their attention or create a stampede of elephants in Africa.

“We still haven’t caught any bugs.” Evie looked around her for something that jumped or flew.

“And nor are we going to catch bugs.”

“Why not, Auntie Zipp?”

”Because bugs are just minding their own business and have every right to be free.” Added to that Zipporah did not want to be touching anything of a creepy-crawly nature.

“You tell ‘em, Auntie Zipp,” Rian chuckled lightly at her words.

Rian had followed them quietly around all day. Although ever aware of his presence, Zipporah was grateful that he had kept a respectful distance in the time she spent with Evie as if he knew how important that was to both of them.

“I never thought about bugs like that,” Evie answered with a solemn nod of her head as if she could see the logic in it.
Gwen Morrow came up and inspected their leaves.
“What type are they?”

“Auntie Zipp says some are green and some are brown.”

“And this one is big and I am calling this one small.” Zipporah held the two leaves up for inspection.

….and then stuff happens with the Ghost.

Phone a friend(s)......

I did something I wanted to do for ages today. I rang my two blog mates – authors Anny Cook and Kelly Kirch. For those of you who don’t know, I live in Australia and the dynamic duo live in the US. We have never met yet it seemed like we had picked up a conversation from a moment ago. There is this weird connection between us. We are three wildly different women from different walks of life and ideas. Yet it works between us. I really enjoyed talking to them both. Kelly said I was ‘much more upbeat and cheerful’ then she expected. And she expected my voice to be ‘deeper and smoky sounding with a hard sarcastic edge.’ I promised Kelly I would work on being morose and husky sounding for our future interaction. It’s the least I can do for a friend. As for Anny – she is the Zen Queen – cheerful, warm and wise. I could talk to them both for hours.

Okay – enough soppy stuff. Horatio Caine. Why the sudden change of topic? Because I can….hmmm…good name for a book. Anyway, I digress…I have an old VCR player. It’s probably ten years old and still works so I don’t bother getting a DVD player as why chuck something out that is working for something new? I don’t watch much television – mainly news and a few shows. I don’t even have pay TV (cable) as I would not watch it. Anyway, last night, I decided I would not write on my current WIP. I would instead watch some of the dozen tapes I had recorded. See? This is where Horatio Caine comes in. For anyone that does not know he is the stoic, stony faced detective on CSI:Miami. He fascinates me. It‘s because he is so complicated, as is Gil Grissom on the original CSI

and the King of complicated – Jack Bauer on 24. I like complicated people –and it’s not just television characters. I like people who mumble something deep and cryptic as they stare coolly off into the sunset. I love people with a mysterious edge that makes you want to try and find out more. I hate actual puzzles – jig and crosswords – as I do not have the patience. But enigmatic people fascinate me. So do you like complicated people or do you wish they would stop being so bloody mysterious and moody?

Hint – never use faked tanning lotion if you are going to do a half arsed job of it. I rush everything. That’s who I am. I expect I’ll slow down when I am dead. But for now I do everything quickly and most times it’s a blessing. But there are times when you have to ‘evenly spread lotion on both legs’ and that rushing is a bad thing. So I have multi-tonal legs at the moment. The bright side is they make me laugh when I look at them. Moral of the story – pay attention and slow down. The reality? It ain’t going to happen.

So what exciting things are y’all (I am practising my American courtesy of Anny Cook) doing on this pleasant Saturday? I know that you can find profound words of wisdom on www.annycook.blogspot.com. Anny also has the blog serial today. I would like to say it’s profound but I am trying to cut down on my lies. Kelly is supposed to be finishing up her week of penance for the HAI. What is that? She cut the map of Australia in half on her blog www.kkirch.blogspot.com. Today I have requested she explain the ‘great Aussie salute’ and ‘Louie the Fly.’ It’s a co-related topic

And now a sedate excerpt from The Goddess and the Ghost. I am trying to be good-ish. The book is released…er…I can never remember the date but it’s either the 26 or 27th November from Total-E-Bound…. http://www.total-e-bound.com/product.asp?s=v7Yg5661446&strParents=&CAT_ID=&P_ID=183

"I am in hell,” Zipporah Scott muttered gravely as she surveyed her surroundings with a growing sense of horror. Something was not right. The air smelt different. The people around her looked odd. The ground under her feet felt rough and unforgiving. A sudden spurt of panic surged through Zipporah’s veins. Oh dear lord I must be strong. She closed her eyes, praying that the scene before her tormented gaze was only a hallucination. Maybe those two aspirins she had taken earlier in the day had affected her mind in some way or maybe the three cups of extra strong black coffee she had imbibed had been a bad thing. She opened her eyes slowly.

“Oh fuck,” she muttered as she looked around at the grass and trees and all things natural and earthy. This was the reality of her situation for the next two whole days. And as realities went, this current one sucked badly. “I will survive this,” she muttered through gritted teeth, her fists clenched with determination. If Scarlett could get through the burning of Atlanta she could get through this. Goddesses could get through anything if they had to.
Isn’t this great, Auntie Zipp?” Evie Daniels, her ten-year-old niece, chirped. She jumped around excitedly, seemingly oblivious to the horrors around her.
“It’s swell, kid.” Zipporah was trying not to sound cynical and jaded but she knew she was failing miserably. She looked at her fair-haired niece with an affection mixed with pity and shock. Zipporah shook her head sadly. Poor deluded child. Who knew that someone with the same strain of blood running through their veins could be excited by the predicament they were now in? Zipporah knew that Evie was young and had not been exposed to the evils of the world. She could not be fully aware of the horrors they were going to have to endure. The angst, the drama and the sheer terror. Zipporah felt a shiver of fear race down her spine when she though about what was before her. Could she do it? Was she strong enough? Could she face her demons?
“I hate fucking camping.” If the great outdoors was so good why was it outdoors and why did everyone have entertainment lounges and computers indoors? And if they were meant to live outside then why had human beings ever been allowed to evolve to the point of designing free form architecture? Zipporah did not believe for one second that cave dwellers, if given the choice, would prefer to live outside battling the elements. It was just wrong. It was too much to inflict on the uninitiated, the cynical and the city bred.
“You just swore, Auntie Zipp.” Evie looked at her with childlike amusement as if at the thought of an adult being caught out doing something wrong.
Bugger. A Good Aunt did not swear around the K-I-D.
“I did not…much.” Zipporah blew the fringe out of her eyes. “Don’t tell your mother or she’ll think I’m a terrible influence.” Her sister already knew she was a terrible influence as all teasing siblings did. She had given the single Zipporah specific instructions to follow this weekend. Zipporah could not recall ‘no swearing’ being one of them. However she was certain it rated up there with her niece going to bed by nine o’clock and not eating junk food. The latter rule they had already broken. The former, Zipporah was determined to stick to but she was flexible in her approach to Aunt-dom.

Concrete cowboys....

"Some guy said to me, 'Don't you think you're too old to sing rock n' roll?' And I said, 'You'd better check with Mick Jagger.'" --Cher

I don’t write lists. Why? Because I tend to throw them out or forget them or I choose to believe I am so super smart I can remember everything. I do, however, have a habit of writing notes on the back of my hand. My theory is I will look at my hand and think what the hell does ‘call M about R L’ mean? I still don’t what that was about or J 7 @ 9 - hmmm…that could be almost bloody anything. But the thing is even if I don’t know what the writing on my hand is at least I look and wonder and realize there was something vital I planned to tell myself. Sure, as a system, it sucks. But it’s my system and it keeps me guessing so I like it.

About a year ago, I had this idea that I would buy a small whiteboard and put it in the kitchen and write notes to Amarinda on there. I have one thing still written on it from a year ago. It is the word ‘cement.’ I often look at that word and think ‘yes, I should do that bit of cementing’ but I don’t. This is why I don’t adhere to lists as they are not threatening enough to make me want to do something. Lists are passive, they just sit there until you doing something about them eventually. I probably need a dominator list that grabs me by the throat and says ‘Do this now, bitch.’ Even then I would just probably nod and smile, wait for it to let go of my throat, think evil thoughts of revenge and then ignore the dom list. As for the cement, I have the bag of cement, I just have to mix and pour and trowel. It’s not hard. It’s just takes time. I have the bag of cement next to the spray on lawn weeder, the can of paint, the garden table I have to repair, the old ironing board I have to give away (I refuse to iron. It’s just wrong) and the cobweb broom. I pass by this collection of stuff to do every day in the garage and I say to myself ‘I swear on a wine bottle, one day I will do all of those things.’ I never do as free will reigns supreme with me and I am quite happy to live in half-finished chaos. And everyone knows oaths made on wine bottles are only binding if you are drunk.

Speaking of cement…the driveway saga. There are a lot of concrete cowboys out there ladies. I am not talking about hard bodied men in akubras or Stetsons and spurs, I am talking about tradesmen who will turn up and tell you any load of crap they think you will believe. I thought I had the concretor lined up until he spun me the biggest load of bull and I dropped him like a hot brick. So I have been interviewing more concrete cowboys. I say interviewing because anyone on my property has to be someone I can place some amount of trust in that they will do as I decree especially if I am at work. The ones so far have been smart arses (takes one to know one) or flirtatious – yeah like I am looking for that after a day at work with seven dweebs. At this stage, I am still checking cowboys out. Like my prince, one day he will come along – do as he is told, get the job done to my satisfaction and then piss off. See, I’m not complicated. I just know what I want. Check out the cowboy to the right...I reckon he could probably lift a couple a bags of concrete...

Kelly has killed off Zoltan on the blog serial on www.kkirch.blogspot.com or has she? I kind of liked Zoltan. Anny on www.annycook.blogspot.com has some excellent excerpts of her must buy book Cherished Destinies which is released this Friday.

Want to know what the freaky man with the wild blond hair is all about? Well, of course you do. Who wouldn’t? There has to be a reason behind it. The Goddess and The Ghost is released November 27th…or maybe 26th…it could be 25th…hmmm...one of those dates...writers? What do they know? Anyway it’s out then-ish at Total-E-Bound and it’s the second book in The Goddess Grind series. It’s about a working goddess, a ghost and camping out… oh and there’s sex.

Oh lord or whomever is listening, get me through the week....

The race that stops a nation…

It really does. The running of Melbourne Cup literally stops Aussies in their track. It happened again today. Everyone gathers around a television at Cup time and shouts and screams for their favourite horse to romp home a winner. Before this there is a wild betting frenzy as once a year mug punters have a flutter on a horse at the TAB – the betting shop. It has been said that Aussie’s will bet on two flies crawling up a wall. We’re risk takers and we love a chance. This is why we love the Melbourne Cup. It brings a nation together. For one day of the year we all pretend we know something about horses when of course we know stuff all. There are office sweeps, fancy dress and best hat competitions and lots of food and alcohol. Did I back a winner? Nah, but that’s not the point. It’s a tradition. A way of life. I love being an Aussie.

At work…

No one was talking to me today. Now, this could be a bad thing but maybe not as I am sure you will agree men rarely chat or make conversation unless they want something. It’s just been all overly polite nodding. Whatever…but the Wall of Wankerdom, as I have been calling it, has not gone up and the precious boy who cannot sit in a room with a woman is very, very quiet. I suspect he is worried any sudden moves will be his last. Who raises men to act like this? Or is it as I deduce on mass men become all feral and he-man like expecting a woman to back down at their testosterone fueled mob rule? Not this little red-headed duck.

Highlights of the day…

- bought petrol – it’s cheaper on Tuesday’s…no one knows why
- bought milk on the way home from work – carrot supply is holding
- quel horreur! The coffee shop ran out of bucket o’coffee cups! I had to buy two pail size cups in order to stop the left eye twitching.

- It rained…for a couple of minutes…yes, it was exciting and wet. Who knew water came from the sky?
- Got three bills in the mail…excellent – don’t you just love seeing those window faced envelopes?
- Ethel emailed to suggest we rob a bank. She also offered to call in a bomb threat so I could go home early. The woman is proactive. Both options are under consideration.
- Got notification that I would not be sent obscene CD cover artwork today. What’s that you say? Yesterday I got sent, as part of my job, CD art with full frontal male nudity – today I got an email that stated “No penises today. Amarinda.” I defy anyone else to tell me they have got an email like that today as part of their job.

There has to be a pony…

This is an old tale…a kid came across a huge mountainous pile of manure. He jumped into it and started burrowing around, digging furiously. A man came along and said “What are you doing?” The kid replied, “With all this manure there has to be a pony.” So, this is my philosophy, keep looking for the pony no matter what crap is heaped upon you.

On the blog serial….

Kelly on
www.kkirch.blogspot.com left us with…

Emmeline tapped several sequences into her time adjusting watch, wondering why she hadn't thought of this solution before. With a wink and a flash of neon light, Emmeline transported herself to the beginning.

He was reaching in front of him for something heavy. Emmeline saw herself hiding behind the office fern. Yeah, time to fix the mess from the beginning....

Yes, bloody hell…what to do? I'm going with…

But as quickly as the image came to her it dissolved and she was standing on the parapet of a castle. A barrage of arrows flew past her ear.

“Get down you stupid wench,” A tall man in full body armour yelled at her.

Wench? Emmeline felt the wind of another arrow whiz by her nose. She ducked and not because she was told to. Arrows, armour and a castle. Probably not in Australia or Vegas anymore. “Where am I?”

“You are at the Castle of Morne.” The man responded as he continued shooting back arrows.

Bugger. “Okay, not what I expected.” Emmeline looked down at her time adjusting watch. The dial has spun around to the year 1207. Oops. “We’ll fix that.” Just as she reached over to adjust the dial back to 2007, an arrow shot her watch off. It smashed to the ground, shattering into a million pieces, as time adjusting watches were apt to do. “Oh crap!”

“You are from King Ethelred?” The man turned and looked at her with hope in his eyes.

“Um, ah…okay,” Emmeline murmured deciding to go along with what he said until she could think of a better plan.

“What news do you have?”

“Ah, yes, news…the King is well.” Emmeline said as she dodged incoming arrows. “He got a new crown that he’s mighty pleased about and the Queens is…”

“Damn it woman you know what I need to hear.” The man’s voice was filled with anxiety. “Did you bring it?”

It? Crap, what was it?

So it's now up to Anny on
www.annycook.blogspot.com? Who knows where this tale will go next?
